Waymo, a subsidiary of Google, has developed an application-specific integrated circuit chip. Manufactured using TSMC's 5-nanometer process, the chip delivers over 1000 TOPS of computing power and has entered mass production in its latest autonomous taxis. This move enhances vehicle responsiveness and navigation capabilities while shifting chip supply from third-party vendors to in-house development.
