On August 20th, Baidu officially declared that its Apollo Go autonomous vehicles have now been seamlessly integrated into the Uber platform, offering services to passengers across Dubai. The fleet is managed by New Horizon Luxury Transport, enabling users in Dubai to effortlessly book rides in Apollo Go’s fully autonomous vehicles directly through the Uber App. This achievement represents the first concrete outcome of Baidu’s multi-year strategic alliance with Uber. The two companies had previously outlined plans to deploy thousands of Apollo Go autonomous vehicles on the Uber platform, aiming to serve a diverse range of global markets.
