Based on the details available on the European Commission's website, the Commission has recently given its formal approval, as per EU merger regulations, for Mercedes-Benz China Group, BMW Brilliance, and Seres Group to exercise joint control over Beijing Yianqi New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. Media reports earlier revealed that on April 17, Yianqi, the ultra-fast charging joint venture established by BMW and Mercedes-Benz in China, declared an equity expansion. Seres Group has stepped in as a new investor with equal shareholding, and its AITO brand has officially become a part of the venture. Once the transaction is finalized, all three parties will possess an equal 33.3% stake, collaborating to drive forward the development and management of ultra-fast charging networks across China.
