Contemporary Amperex Technology Co. Limited (CATL) announced that it will achieve carbon neutrality in its core operations by the end of 2025, becoming the only battery enterprise globally to accomplish this goal at a TWh-scale shipment volume. Meanwhile, the company has, for the first time, systematically disclosed its action pathway for achieving value chain carbon neutrality by 2035. By the end of 2025, 20 of CATL's battery factories will have obtained ISO14068-1 certification, becoming zero-carbon factories, with the use of zero-carbon electricity in core operations reaching 100%.
