Recently, amid mounting pressure from then-U.S. President Trump, Ford Motor Company made an announcement: it will cease exporting the Chinese-assembled Lincoln Nautilus to the United States. Ford emphasized that China remains a pivotal strategic market for the Lincoln brand. Looking ahead, beyond 2030, Chinese manufacturing facilities will persist in producing Lincoln models tailored for the domestic Chinese market as well as for other international export destinations.

Initially, Ford opted to manufacture the Nautilus in China owing to capacity constraints in North America. However, the company has been grappling with persistent policy uncertainties for an extended period. These challenges ultimately influenced Ford's strategic decision to relocate the production of certain models back to the United States.
