Data released by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) reveals that in July 2026, China's automobile production and sales volumes stood at 2.573 million and 2.584 million units, respectively. This represented a month-on-month decrease of 6.8% in production and 8% in sales, along with a year-on-year drop of 0.7% in production and 0.3% in sales. Cumulatively, from January to July, automobile production and sales reached 17.567 million and 17.602 million units, respectively, both showing a 3.7% year-on-year decline. However, this decline has further narrowed when compared to the figures from the first half of the year, indicating a certain degree of market stabilization or recovery trend.
