According to Electrek, Massimiliano Trantini, CEO of Lotus Americas, recently confirmed to Motor Trend that the Lotus Eletre has completely exited the US market due to a significant increase in US tariffs on Chinese-made electric vehicles, which rose to 150%. This electric SUV, originally planned to start at $107,000, was ultimately sold out of its 2025 quota at a top-tier price of $232,900, after which no further imports to the US were made.
