On July 31st, reports surfaced indicating that in June of this year, nine government departments—including the Ministry of Commerce—jointly released the 'Notice on Several Measures to Foster and Expand Consumption in the Automotive Aftermarket'. This notice outlined a series of policies aimed at unlocking the vast potential of the automotive aftermarket, with a particular focus on areas such as car customization, motorsports, recreational vehicle (RV) camping, vehicle maintenance, leasing, and classic car restoration. Industry experts have highlighted the continuous expansion of segments within the automotive aftermarket, which has led to a significant surge in demand for skilled professionals across various domains. Notably, the market for compliant modifications—encompassing car interiors, wheels, and lighting systems—is projected to reach a staggering trillion-dollar scale. "In the past, the automotive aftermarket lacked large-scale, standardized services. However, the industry now necessitates professional operations, with an estimated demand for skilled talent reaching into the millions," an industry insider remarked.
