GAC Aion has unveiled a warranty enhancement initiative for vehicle models fitted with CALB's 177Ah lithium iron phosphate batteries. This initiative extends the warranty coverage for power batteries from the original 8-year/150,000-kilometer term to an impressive 8-year/300,000-kilometer span. Additionally, it introduces distinct warranty policies tailored to commercial fleet vehicles and private cars. In tandem with this, GAC Aion will leverage backend big data analytics to monitor battery health and will proactively reach out to vehicle owners to arrange complimentary inspections and repairs should any irregularities be detected. In scenarios where repairs extend beyond 5 days, commercial vehicle owners are eligible to apply for subsidies. Furthermore, owners who have previously incurred out-of-pocket expenses for battery fault repairs prior to this announcement can now seek reimbursements. Vehicle owners can verify their battery model through various channels to ascertain their eligibility for this program, with warranty benefit cards set to be distributed in phases.
