Zhaoqing Xiaopeng New Energy Investment Co., Ltd. has submitted a recall plan to the State Administration for Market Regulation, announcing its decision to recall a total of 33,473 Xiaopeng X9 vehicles. These vehicles were manufactured between August 8, 2023, and August 11, 2025, with the recall set to commence from August 28, 2026. The root cause of the recall lies in manufacturing process variations, which have compromised the airtightness of the front air springs. This issue may lead to gradual air leakage when the vehicles are subjected to prolonged use in high-temperature and high-humidity conditions. In severe scenarios, such leakage could potentially impact vehicle handling, thereby posing a safety risk.
