Li Xiaoshuang, Vice President of Xiaomi Auto, disclosed in-depth information regarding the development of Xiaomi's Pengcheng series range extender. Leveraging well-established technology, this range extender has undergone a comprehensive redesign and optimization process, resulting in the introduction of the cutting-edge M15DRE range extender. Specifically, seven core components have been meticulously reselected and developed, with an additional 57 parts undergoing precise optimization and fine-tuning. Under WLTC testing conditions, the minimum fuel consumption when the battery is fully depleted is a mere 5.7L/100km. In terms of maintenance, the interval after the initial service has been extended to 3 years or 30,000 kilometers of range extender operation. Li Xiaoshuang also extended his appreciation to partners such as Dongan Powertrain and mentioned that detailed technical specifications will be unveiled upon the model's official launch.
