On July 23, according to Fox News, Tesla announced on Wednesday that its self-driving taxi fleet has accumulated over 380,000 miles of unsupervised driving across six cities in two states, without any 'major' safety incidents as defined by the company. Ashok Elluswamy, Tesla's Vice President of AI Software, emphasized the fleet's safety performance during the second-quarter earnings call, noting that it achieved 'zero major accidents.' He stated that all reported incidents occurred while the vehicles were stationary and were caused by other road users.
