Data released by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) reveals that in June 2026, sales of Chinese-brand passenger vehicles soared to 1.812 million units. This figure represents a 7.3% month-on-month surge and a 6.2% year-on-year (YoY) growth, capturing a significant 75.5% of the total passenger vehicle sales market. Furthermore, the market share of Chinese-brand passenger vehicles witnessed an impressive YoY increase of 8.2 percentage points. For the first half of 2026, cumulative sales of Chinese-brand passenger vehicles amounted to 9.138 million units. Despite experiencing a slight 1.4% YoY decline, their market share expanded to 71.8%, reflecting a notable YoY rise of 3.3 percentage points.
