The National Technical Committee for Auto Standardization has recently put out a notice, seeking public opinions on the inaugural amendment to three recommended national standards. These standards pertain to electric vehicles, hybrid electric vehicles, and fuel cell electric vehicles, with the feedback submission deadline set for August 12. As per the draft revision, the overall reliability driving test mileage for these three categories of vehicles will be uniformly raised to a minimum of 30,000 kilometers, bringing them in line with the standards applicable to fuel vehicles. Specifically, the cumulative mileage for DC charging should constitute no less than 90% of the total, equating to 27,000 kilometers. For vehicles lacking DC charging capabilities, AC charging should be utilized. Furthermore, for hybrid electric vehicles, plug-in models are required to undergo a distinct pure electric reliability test covering a minimum of 10,000 kilometers. Meanwhile, fuel cell vehicles must complete a 30,000-kilometer test under hybrid drive mode.
