On July 9, Mitsubishi Motors revealed its plan to join forces with Highlanders, a burgeoning company in which it has made an investment. Together, they aim to commence the mass production of humanoid robots at Mitsubishi's engine factory located in Kyoto, Japan, in the year 2027. The envisioned monthly production capacity stands at 1,000 units. Initially, these robots will be deployed within Mitsubishi's own factories to undertake tasks such as component transfer and engine assembly. Should the tests prove successful and meet the required standards, Mitsubishi Motors will then contemplate the possibility of external sales in the future.
