CPCA Data Reveals: 1.037 Million New Energy Vehicles Sold in China’s Passenger Car Market in June, Marking a 7% YoY Decline

Based on preliminary statistics released by the CPCA, from June 1 to June 30, the retail sales of new energy vehicles (NEVs) in China’s passenger vehicle market hit 1.037 million units. This represents a 7% year-on-year (YoY) decrease but a 9% month-on-month (MoM) increase. For the year up to June, cumulative retail sales reached 4.734 million units, showing a 13% YoY decline. Over the same period, the wholesale volume of new energy passenger vehicles stood at 1.506 million units, reflecting a notable 22% YoY surge and an 11% MoM rise. Year-to-date cumulative wholesale sales climbed to 6.812 million units, up by 6% YoY.
