According to recent reports, Tesla is gearing up to introduce an extended version of its popular Model Y in the U.S. market. The Model Y has already proven to be a hot-selling model in China and is currently available in China, Australia, and India. This extended variant features a notably more spacious rear seating area compared to its standard counterpart, comfortably accommodating up to six passengers. Tesla's strategic move appears to be aimed at filling the market gap created by the discontinuation of the Model X. The Model X, Tesla's large SUV, was phased out this spring after an impressive 11-year production run. Although the regular Model Y also comes in a seven-seat configuration, the extended version offers even more legroom and comfort for third-row passengers, making it an attractive option for families and larger groups.
