On June 9, the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) released a safety alert, announcing that Chrysler had submitted an application to recall a specific batch of Jeep Wrangler and Jeep Gladiator models produced between 2021 and 2025, encompassing a total of 1,076,999 vehicles. The recall was initiated because the electro-hydraulic power steering pump harness in these vehicles may be prone to overheating, presenting a potential fire risk. Notably, even when the vehicle is switched off and parked, the harness could still ignite a fire due to excessive heat buildup.
