At BYD's 2025 Annual Shareholders' Meeting, Chairman Wang Chuanfu disclosed that the company's overseas sales are projected to exceed the initial target of 1.6 million vehicles. He underscored the importance of localization as the linchpin for sustained and stable growth, affirming BYD's commitment to a long-term, innovative strategy for shared development. The company's innovations, exemplified by its flash charging technology, are designed to propel the industry towards robust expansion. In the realm of intelligent driving, Wang Chuanfu introduced the concept of 'vehicle intelligence as embodied intelligence,' asserting that widespread adoption of intelligent driving will accelerate the implementation of AI technology. Currently, BYD has deployed 3.15 million intelligent driving models worldwide, with the accumulated driving data laying the groundwork for advanced intelligent driving capabilities. He forecasted that Level 3 and Level 4 autonomous driving will be realized sooner than anticipated, and BYD is already well-prepared on multiple fronts. Once regulatory frameworks are established, BYD will launch products compliant with Level 3 standards and expand its global footprint. Looking ahead to the next three to five years, BYD anticipates sustained growth, fueled by both domestic and international markets, supported by second-generation blade batteries, flash charging technology, and new technologies set to be introduced in the coming years. Wang Chuanfu envisions BYD achieving substantial growth by 2030 and becoming the world's largest auto company in scale within five years. Addressing concerns about enhancing per-vehicle profit margins and brand image in China, he stated that premiumization is BYD's goal, emphasizing a return to technological fundamentals, robust product development, and fostering trust. The company has already achieved premiumization in international markets and plans to unveil new, groundbreaking technologies next year, which will address these issues.
