On June 6, Dongfeng Motor Corporation officially rolled out its autonomous logistics vehicle brand, Dongfeng OpenVAN, and presented four autonomous logistics vehicles designed for all-round scenarios. At the launch ceremony, Dongfeng Motor inked agreements with prominent companies in integrated logistics, new energy operations, and other sectors, clinching orders for more than 4,000 vehicles, with deliveries slated for August. Dongfeng OpenVAN is equipped with a "smart brain," a "robust framework," and "digital nerves." It has undergone rigorous testing under real-world driving conditions spanning 130 million kilometers, and features dual systems for braking, steering, and power supply. The incorporation of 5G ultra-low-latency technology facilitates real-time remote monitoring of hundreds of vehicles online. Meanwhile, the system autonomously computes the most efficient routes for round-the-clock online operation and maintenance. The four models launched—DF-2, DF-8, DF-25, and DF-60—are customized for various scenarios, including last-mile delivery, road inspection, small-scale sanitation, commercial cold chain logistics, campus transportation, and heavy cargo transportation, each with distinct capacities, loads, and ranges.
