On June 6, ByteDance addressed recent rumors, clarifying that 'Saidou' has been incorrectly linked to the 'Doubao automotive brand' or the notion of 'ByteDance venturing into car manufacturing.' ByteDance firmly stated that it has no aspirations to produce cars or establish an automotive brand. It emphasized that Saidou is neither an automotive brand initiated by ByteDance nor Doubao, and there exists no equity collaboration between ByteDance and Saidou. The partnerships between Doubao, Volcano Engine, and their automotive industry counterparts mainly revolve around supplying technologies, including the Doubao large-scale model and intelligent cockpit solutions, aimed at elevating the in-car intelligent interaction experience.
