Recently, several consumers have taken to social media to voice concerns, noting that the Mobil engine oil they bought from an e-commerce platform turned out to be a "three-no" product—lacking a production date, quality certification, and manufacturer details. Moreover, they reported that the oil felt unusually thin, almost like water, after use. In response, ExxonMobil (China) Investment Co., Ltd. has clarified that the Mobil engine oils being sold through channels such as Tmall’s Billion-Subsidy platform and Suning.com’s official flagship store have not received official authorization, and therefore, the authenticity and quality of these products cannot be verified or guaranteed.
