On May 28, at the Intelligent Strategy Launch Event, BYD's Chairman, Wang Chuanfu, unveiled the company's three primary objectives for the latter half of its intelligent transformation: achieving zero traffic accidents, cultivating super drivers, and developing super secretaries. He emphasized that with the swift advancements in sensing hardware, AI algorithms, and data processing capabilities, these ambitious goals are destined to be realized in the near future. Over the next three years, BYD is set to allocate over RMB 100 billion towards research and development in intelligent technology. Additionally, the company plans to assemble an intelligent driving team comprising more than 5,000 professionals. By the end of 2026, BYD aims to incorporate high-level intelligent driving features as standard in models priced at the 70,000-yuan level, offering lifetime free access to these advanced functionalities.
