Boeing CEO Kelly Ortberg stated on Wednesday that the company has met the requirements of the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration and officially launched a plan to increase the monthly production of 737 MAX aircraft to 47, up from the current monthly production of 42. Ortberg said that the production line is undergoing test runs according to the new capacity standards, with formal compliance expected within the next two months, and a long-term goal of producing 63 aircraft per month.
