Volkswagen has officially rolled out the brand-new ID. Polo GTI, marking the debut of the first fully electric model to proudly wear the iconic GTI badge. For the inaugural instance in the GTI brand's 50-year storied history, Volkswagen has chosen to electrify the Polo GTI, thereby carrying forward its cherished legacy. The exterior design of the new car draws inspiration from the ID. GTI concept car, ensuring high levels of recognizability. Inside, it showcases a striking red and black color scheme, complemented by an array of comfort and tech features. In terms of performance, the new car is equipped with a front-mounted single electric motor, capable of delivering a maximum output of 226 horsepower. It can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in a mere 6.8 seconds, while offering a WLTP-certified driving range of 424 kilometers. Moreover, the car supports fast charging for its battery, ensuring convenience and efficiency. Its chassis and handling configurations are meticulously crafted to fully embody its sporty nature. The car is set to be manufactured at a factory in Spain, with reservations expected to commence in mid-October. Deliveries to European dealerships are slated to commence before the year's end, promising an exciting addition to Volkswagen's electric lineup.
