China's New Energy Vehicle Sector Witnesses Steady Growth in Production, Sales, and Exports in April

On May 11, figures released by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers revealed that China's new energy vehicle (NEV) sector maintained a robust growth trajectory in April, with production, sales, and exports all showing steady increases. Specific data indicated that the production volume of NEVs for the month reached 1.32 million units, while sales soared to 1.344 million units, marking year-on-year growth of 5.5% and 9.7%, respectively. Furthermore, NEV sales constituted 53.2% of the total automobile sales, underscoring their increasing market dominance. In terms of exports, the volume of NEVs shipped overseas surged to 430,000 units, reflecting a remarkable year-on-year surge of 1.1 times. Additionally, from January to April this year, China's cumulative NEV exports have reached 1.384 million units, representing a staggering year-on-year increase of 1.2 times.
