On May 11, reports emerged indicating that Toyota had made an announcement on Monday regarding its plans to construct a new auto plant in the Bidkin Industrial Zone, located in Maharashtra, India. This new facility is set to have an impressive annual production capacity of 100,000 vehicles, with production slated to commence in the first half of 2029. The plant will be dedicated to manufacturing a new SUV model and is projected to generate around 2,800 local job opportunities.
