LANVU Motors is set to unveil its large five-seater SUV, the Taishan X8, on May 22, with pre-sale prices starting at 302,900 yuan. Impressively, the vehicle has already amassed over 40,000 pre-orders even before its official launch. This SUV marks a global milestone as the first mass-produced model to feature Huawei’s Qiankun Intelligent Driving system, which integrates four LiDAR sensors. Additionally, it showcases Huawei’s inaugural dual 15.6-inch large dual-screen display, enhancing the driving experience with cutting-edge technology. The vehicle employs 896-line dual-light-path image-grade LiDAR and supports three distinct seat mode switches. Notably, it introduces the world’s first fully automatic one-click bed-forming function, revolutionizing in-car comfort and versatility.

In terms of powertrain, the Taishan X8 is equipped with a comprehensive 800V+5C ultra-fast charging system, offering both PHEV (Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle) and EV (Electric Vehicle) variants. The PHEV version boasts a pure electric range of 370 kilometers and an extended combined range of 1,506 kilometers, while the EV version provides a pure electric range of 727 kilometers, catering to diverse driving needs and preferences.
