On April 24, during the 2026 Beijing International Automotive Exhibition, Lei Jun revealed that the Xiaomi YU7 GT is set for an official launch at the end of May. Designed as a 'true-bred GT' sports car-inspired SUV, this vehicle showcases a wide-body silhouette, an elongated front profile, and introduces a striking new paint option named 'Car Box Red.' The YU7 GT is powered by an electric drivetrain that generates over 1,000 horsepower, enabling it to reach a maximum speed of 300km/h while offering a CLTC-rated driving range of 705 kilometers. This blend of high performance and extended range capability positions it as a standout in its class. The car's development involved collaboration with Xiaomi's European R&D Center, with its chassis meticulously fine-tuned on the Nürburgring circuit to deliver a driving experience that rivals that of a race track.
