The second-phase project of Envision AESC's Yichang Gigafactory commenced on April 23, 2026, with plans to add 60 GWh of new-generation energy storage cells and 60 GWh of AI-powered energy storage system capacity, expected to be fully operational by 2027. Combined with the 40 GWh capacity from the first phase, the factory will become the world's first 100 GWh-scale energy storage whole industry chain base.
