On the cusp of the 2026 Beijing Auto Show, the all-new Mercedes-Benz S-Class made its highly anticipated domestic debut. As a mid-cycle refresh model, more than half of the vehicle's components have undergone significant development or redesign. The front fascia is dominated by an illuminated grille that has been enlarged by approximately 20%, accompanied by next-generation digital headlights that not only extend the illumination range by 40% but also reduce energy consumption by half. The vehicle's silhouette is accentuated with 20-inch wheels and state-of-the-art intelligent driving sensors, while the rear showcases a distinctive three-pointed star emblem taillight design. Inside, the cabin is a tech haven, featuring a multi-screen layout, rear seats with multi-angle adjustments, an AI-powered entertainment system, and a 4D surround sound system. In terms of intelligent driving, the vehicle comes equipped with MB.DRIVE driver assistance as standard, with the premium variant offering advanced intelligent parking capabilities and plans to introduce urban and highway navigation assistance in the future. Powertrain choices include gasoline, diesel, and plug-in hybrid options, with the domestic market primarily focusing on six-cylinder mild hybrid and plug-in hybrid variants. Additionally, Mercedes-Benz revealed its ambitious plan to launch over 40 new models by 2027, including seven exclusive models tailored for the Chinese market.
