The emphasis will be on research and development, as well as product definition, while leveraging SAIC Volkswagen's established sales network for distribution channels. In a move to preserve team cohesion, the entire original R&D and product divisions of SAIC Audi will be transferred to the new company. Sources have revealed that the Audi Technology Innovation Center is anticipated to commence its expansion efforts in the latter half of this year, potentially seeking new talent from the broader market, with a particular focus on attracting experts in software development, the three electric systems (comprising batteries, electric motors, and electronic control), and intelligent driving technologies.
