On April 17, during the 2026 Technology Open Day event, Hesai Technology made a groundbreaking announcement by introducing the world's inaugural 6D full-color LiDAR hypersensitive chip, known as the Picasso SPAD-SoC. This innovative chip will serve as an upgrade for the Hesai ETX series LiDAR, enabling it to support an astonishing 4320-line full-color 4K ultra-high-definition perception capability. With an impressive maximum detection range of 600 meters, it can accurately identify small wooden blocks measuring 15cm*25cm from a distance of up to 150 meters. The anticipated timeline for mass production and delivery is set for the latter half of this year.
