Honda has made the decision to cancel the launch of three electric vehicle models that were initially slated for the North American market. The company also expects to write off assets tied to its EV investments, a move that will involve a staggering 2.5 trillion yen (roughly equivalent to $15.7 billion). Following a visit to China, Honda's CEO, Toshihiro Mibe, expressed a pessimistic view, stating that, when confronted with the strengths of China's new energy vehicle industry chain, Honda has 'no hope for victory.' This sentiment has prompted a substantial reduction in the scale of Honda's electrification strategy.
