Recently, Shandong Province unveiled the Implementation Plan for the Layout and Construction of High-Power Charging Demonstration Stations for Electric Heavy Trucks in Key Highway Transport Corridors in Shandong Province (2026-2027), along with Several Measures to Support the Large-Scale Deployment of Electric Heavy Trucks. The plan outlines a comprehensive initiative to construct demonstration stations along major road segments over the two-year period from 2026 to 2027. Specifically, 48 demonstration stations will be established in 24 pairs of service areas along expressways, creating a "four vertical and two horizontal" green energy replenishment corridor for electric heavy trucks. This corridor will encompass the three major economic regions—the provincial capital area, Jiaodong, and southern Shandong—linking 16 cities and stretching over 2,600 kilometers in total.

Furthermore, an additional 107 demonstration stations will be built along ordinary national and provincial highways, finalizing the layout for 14 key national and provincial trunk roads. This will result in a "four vertical and three horizontal" green energy replenishment corridor for electric heavy trucks, covering 16 cities and spanning more than 6,600 kilometers. In parallel, Shandong Province aims to achieve a penetration rate for electric heavy trucks that aligns with the national average within the next two years.
