BYD and KFC have entered into a strategic cooperation agreement, marking a significant move in their respective industries. The collaboration aims to harness the strengths of both companies in the realms of new energy vehicles and catering retail. They will engage in in-depth cooperation, focusing on flash charging technology, intelligent cockpits, and KFC's drive-thru service, to jointly create a novel ecosystem that offers '9-minute one-stop human and vehicle energy replenishment'.

In this innovative setup, users can place and pay for their orders in advance while on the move. Upon arrival at the store, they can simply roll down the window to collect their meals and charge their vehicles at the dedicated flash charging stations. This allows for the simultaneous enjoyment of a meal and vehicle charging. BYD will introduce the KFC drive-thru intelligent ordering feature on the Fangchengbao Titan 7 model and subsequently extend it to various flagship models across its brands. The vehicle's infotainment system will seamlessly coordinate the driving route with the meal pickup process.

Furthermore, BYD's flash charging ecosystem will be integrated into KFC's extensive network of drive-thru stores nationwide, enabling vehicle charging from 10% to 97% in just 9 minutes. BYD has ambitious plans to establish 20,000 flash charging stations by the end of 2026. KFC expressed that this collaboration will synchronize the timelines for meal pickup and vehicle charging, offering users a more imaginative and convenient vehicle-based lifestyle experience.
