On April 3, news emerged that Focuslight Technologies had recently been informed by AG company, a renowned European automotive Tier 1 supplier, that the terminal automaker's planned LiDAR model launch had been scrapped. This decision has subsequently led to the termination of the associated component project. The terminal customer clarified that the cancellation stemmed from its own strategic planning adjustments and bore no relation to AG company or its suppliers. Originally slated for mass production in 2026, the project was anticipated to generate a demand of roughly 500,000 units over its lifecycle, with approximately 2,700 units already having been delivered. Currently, it is in the pre-mass-production preparation phase. Focuslight Technologies is now engaged in commercial negotiations with AG company concerning issues such as performance responsibilities tied to the project's termination and the management of the remaining contract amount. As of the announcement's disclosure date, all LiDAR-related designated projects previously disclosed by Focuslight Technologies have been canceled.
