On April 1, WeRide and Grab officially rolled out the public operation of their Ai.R autonomous driving mobility service in Singapore’s Punggol area, marking a significant milestone by offering the nation’s first autonomous public transportation service within residential communities. Since January 2026, the initiative has successfully facilitated test rides for over 1,000 passengers, with the autonomous fleet accumulating more than 30,000 kilometers of safe driving. At present, members of the public can reserve complimentary rides through the Ai.R official website, with operational routes strategically designed to connect residential zones with essential daily amenities and major transportation hubs.
