On March 29, according to Nikkei News, U.S. electric vehicle maker Tesla plans to double the number of directly operated service outlets in Japan to more than 30 this year, aiming to enhance after-sales service quality and further expand its market share. Currently, Tesla operates 14 service centers in Japan, primarily located in major cities, which provide comprehensive services including vehicle inspections, maintenance, repairs, and bodywork restoration. Tesla will leverage existing workshop spaces to rapidly expand its service network at a low cost, with many new service centers to be established near Tesla dealerships. Additionally, in regions without directly operated service centers, Tesla collaborates with local automotive repair institutions to offer customers over 50 vehicle maintenance service points.
