China has unveiled its first national-level comprehensive automotive testing base featuring ‘road-air integration’ in Xinfeng County, Shaoguan, Guangdong. This sprawling facility spans 8,600 acres and includes an exclusive flight airspace covering nearly 100 square kilometers. It is outfitted with state-of-the-art equipment, enabling the execution of more than 100 professional tests. The high-speed circuit is designed to accommodate extreme performance evaluations for supercars and high-end electric vehicles. Meanwhile, flying cars can undergo comprehensive testing on both ground and aerial systems, allowing engineers to conduct precise analyses of system stability. This base will offer technical support and a testing platform for industries within the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, contributing to the enhancement of China’s automotive industry’s global competitiveness.
