During its performance communication session, XPENG unveiled its comprehensive OTA (Over-the-Air) upgrade roadmap for 2026. The company outlined its commitment to delivering at least one substantial version update each quarter throughout the upcoming year. Notably, the second quarter will witness a pivotal advancement in its autonomous driving technology, expanding its applicability to cover a broader range of scenarios. This leap forward will transition the system from relying solely on navigation for autonomous driving on public roads to achieving autonomous navigation on unmapped, rule-agnostic internal roadways.

From a technical standpoint, XPENG plans to scale up the vehicle-side AI model, thereby bolstering its perception and decision-making prowess. In the realm of safety, the company anticipates a significant increase in safety intervention mileage, ranging from 5 to 10 times the current levels. Furthermore, the in-cabin experience is set for a major overhaul, with the introduction of new multilingual support and the promotion of seamless integration between cabin functionalities and autonomous driving features, enhancing the overall user experience.
