On March 19, Xiaomi Auto made an announcement stating that the safety design of its next-generation SU7 door handle is in full compliance with the updated national standard set to take effect in 2027. This design incorporates a triple safety redundancy system: the exterior mechanical handle is engineered to automatically unlock upon collision, facilitating emergency door opening from the outside; the door lock is fitted with a redundant backup power supply to guarantee normal unlocking post-collision; and an emergency mechanical handle is installed inside the vehicle, allowing door operation without the need for electronic unlocking.
