On March 19, Pony.ai successfully deployed over 100 GAC Aion Baryonyx Robotaxis, featuring seventh-generation autonomous driving technology, to the OnTime platform. These vehicles have now been seamlessly integrated into the OnTime platform and are being progressively rolled out for service. The two companies are set to deepen their collaboration, aiming to jointly construct a larger fleet of Robotaxis and broaden their operational reach. This deployment represents a significant milestone in the large-scale commercialization of Robotaxis, offering the industry a replicable blueprint for the harmonious development of 'technology + operations'. The seventh-generation Robotaxi is built with automotive-grade components, boasts a design lifespan of 600,000 kilometers, and has achieved a 70% reduction in the cost of its autonomous driving system compared to its predecessor. Furthermore, it has demonstrated positive operational profitability on a per-vehicle basis in Guangzhou and Shenzhen.
