On March 19, WeRide announced a national-level strategic cooperation with ELEVATE Slovakia, officially launching Slovakia's first autonomous driving project. This marks Europe's first large-scale autonomous driving commercialization plan driven at the national level, covering multiple product lines. Slovakia becomes WeRide's fourth market in Europe, with its global operations now spanning 12 countries and over 40 cities. The first batch of autonomous vehicles will arrive in Slovakia in spring 2026, with testing set to begin in the capital, Bratislava, in the first half of the year, followed by expansion to other regions.
