On March 10, it was reported that Baidu’s autonomous ride-hailing platform, Luobo Kuaipao, has recently recommenced fully autonomous testing and commercial operations in both Dubai and Abu Dhabi. This concurrent advancement in the two cities has expedited the rollout of fully autonomous services overseas, establishing a solid groundwork for large-scale commercial deployment across the UAE. Previously, Luobo Kuaipao had achieved several milestones: it obtained the first permit for fully autonomous testing in Dubai, established its inaugural overseas autonomous driving operational base, and launched public-access fully autonomous ride-hailing services in Abu Dhabi. To date, Luobo Kuaipao’s autonomous driving services have been implemented in 26 cities globally, with a cumulative total exceeding 20 million rides.
