In the evening, SAIC Volkswagen celebrated the successful roll-off ceremony of its first fully assembled ID.ERA 9X vehicle. This milestone vehicle not only marks the implementation of the Joint Venture 2.0 Era strategy but also stands as a flagship achievement in Sino-German automotive collaboration. Earlier, on March 2, SAIC Volkswagen’s first EA211 "Golden Range Extender" engine had already rolled off the production line, and it will be the first to be integrated into the ID.ERA 9X. The new model is scheduled to commence pre-sales by the end of March 2026. The ID.ERA 9X is outfitted with a high-capacity 65.2kWh battery, delivering a CLTC pure electric driving range of over 400km. In terms of dimensions, the vehicle measures 5207mm in length, 1997mm in width, and 1810mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3070mm. Externally, the vehicle adopts the latest design language, characterized by a broad front end and a continuous LED light strip. Powered by a 1.5T range-extender engine, it boasts a maximum power output of 105 kilowatts. Inside, the cabin features a 15.6-inch ultra-high-definition dual-screen setup for the driver and front passenger on the central console, a 21.4-inch foldable overhead screen for rear passengers, and the total length of the ambient lighting throughout the vehicle reaches an impressive 12.8 meters.
