Audi CEO Gernot Döllner has denied rumors of canceling the Concept C sports car and confirmed that the vehicle will be launched within the next two years. There had been speculation that Porsche's cancellation of the electric version of the 718 might impact Audi's electric sports car project, but Döllner emphasized that Audi and Porsche are collaborating smoothly and the project has not been terminated. This two-seater electric sports car features an electrically foldable Targa convertible roof, and its design language will set the direction for Audi's future designs. The interior sees a return to physical buttons and the use of higher-quality materials. The production vehicle will be built on the PPE Sport platform and will be available in rear-wheel-drive with a single electric motor and all-wheel-drive with dual electric motors. Audi's CEO expects annual sales of the vehicle to reach a 'very low five-digit' figure.
