Recently, due to the influence of the regional situation, Pony.ai has made the decision to temporarily halt its autonomous driving road tests in Dubai. On March 2, Pony.ai issued a statement, clarifying that this suspension was a measure taken to align with the unified arrangements made by local relevant authorities and to prioritize the safety of the tests. The company is actively engaging in discussions with local traffic regulatory bodies. Once safety measures are firmly in place, it will restart the tests at a suitable juncture. At present, road testing operations have already recommenced in Doha. Moreover, Apollo Go and WeRide have also, one after the other, put a pause on their Robotaxi operation services in Dubai.
