On March 2, reports emerged indicating that, in response to the Compliance Guidelines for Pricing Practices in the Automobile Industry released by the State Administration for Market Regulation in February 2026, and with the goal of fostering standardized pricing mechanisms within the automobile sector, the China Automobile Dealers Association is set to commence the formation of a dedicated working group this month. This initiative aims to facilitate the guidelines' implementation through a series of strategic actions. The automobile industry stands as a vital cornerstone of the national economy, yet prevalent irregularities in pricing within the sector infringe upon consumer rights and undermine the principles of fair market competition. The primary objective of these guidelines is to overhaul the profit allocation structure throughout the industry chain, fostering a mutually beneficial outcome for all stakeholders involved.
