On February 26, reports emerged from the High-Quality Development Conference of Haizhu District that Mai Mengmeng, Director of the Haizhu District Science, Industry, Commerce, and Information Technology Bureau, announced residents in the district would soon have the opportunity to ride in Hello’s driverless taxis and enjoy meals delivered by Xunyu’s drones—all within this year. Mai elaborated that Haizhu District will prioritize the deployment of Hello’s autonomous vehicles and Xunyu’s aerial food delivery services, aiming to create a seamless “ground-air interaction” system. This innovative approach integrates intelligent transportation with the burgeoning low-altitude economy. Furthermore, the district will align its initiatives with the city’s broader strategy to accelerate the “vehicle-road-cloud integration” project in Haizhu. This project envisions a holistic ecosystem that harmonizes vehicles, road infrastructure, network connectivity, and cloud-based data management.
